Holiday Madness--Help, Another Christmas

How often we catch ourselves dreading the rush, the pressure, the cost or the general inconvenience of the Christmas season. What can often follow is some very ugly emotional feelings or some caustic and critical thoughts.

So how can we deal with this?

Ignoring and/or not participating is nearly impossible.

Here are some thoughts from the Word:

    The first Christmas was marked by:
  • Inconvenience -- birth in a distant city in a stable.
  • Crowds -- no room.
  • Travel -- by donkey over 75 miles.
  • Time crunch -- getting to the stable in time.
  • Gifts -- Gold, frankincense, myrrh.
  • Unexpected visitors -- Shepherds/Magi
